The advantage of drones is considerable cross-country ability and, at the same time, the possibility of remote operation. The company DVOŘÁK - slope mowers s.r.o. is known as the manufacturer of SPIDER mowers, which are used for the maintenance of hard-to-access areas. They stand out above all for their slope accessibility and unique travel system. The SPIDER CADDY machines were designed on the chassis basis of the mowers. Ground drones can carry up to 400 kg of cargo at a speed of up to 8 kilometers per hour. They can handle a slope of up to thirty degrees. They are powered by a gasoline engine. The range of the remote control is up to 150 meters (much more with an aerial drone for retransmission). With such parameters, their deployment in hot war zones suggests itself.
"Ukraine, in an effort to prevent the abuse of aid as much as possible, has again adjusted the system for receiving it. The addressee must first go through the system registration process and then request a specific delivery of help in the electronic system for that purpose," our member nicknamed Pažout described the administrative requirements that change over time. He added that some needs, such as medical supplies and drones, remain the same throughout the Russian aggression, while others change. "The current requirements are all-terrain four- or six-wheelers for supplying the front lines, we have recently encountered a demand for modern gas masks."
During the trip, there was also a stop at the chaplain and baker Oleg from Pokrovsk, who helps civilians from Donbass and brings aid to areas where normal supplies fail as a result of the war. Approximately a ton of non-perishable food, hygiene items and other materials were delivered to him.
In the attacked Ukraine, life goes on, including common events that we know from our homeland as well. In the central part of the country, Team4Ukraine helped with a serious traffic accident. Volunteers from Team4Ukraine also recently encountered a similar innocent event, so the return journey was also used to remove the wreckage of the van to EU territory. Four members of the team suffered injuries from which they are still recovering. "Removing the car from Zaporizhia was possible only now after following all procedures and closing the investigation of the traffic accident. There was stress in the area from the proximity of the war front, but work and life go on even for the people in these places and they try to function as well as possible in difficult conditions," said one of the team of participants in the 4,800-kilometer journey of Czech volunteers.
Team4Ukraine will be leaving soon with more help. The Božena project is in its final phase, as part of which the firefighters will be supplied with a demining machine for work in liberated areas, preparations for the delivery of other armored ambulances built from the legendary American Humwee vehicles are also in full swing. The vehicles delivered last year are still effectively helping to save the lives of civilians and soldiers. We are still working on these and many other aid projects.
