„Hostri Kartuzi“
Or, inspired by the Netflix series “Peaky Blinders”, they are a drone unit of the volunteer army from the Kharkiv region. They have been fighting against the occupation since 2014, even more intensively since February 2022, when they were among the first to defend Kharkiv.
The members of the unit help other larger units on the front and outside of combat have their own jobs/businesses to which they return. Although these are always tasks for days or weeks and then they return to “civilian” life, they are very effective. During 2024 alone, they destroyed more than 800 occupiers and dozens of pieces of armored vehicles, or other significant targets with the help of their drones.
The main characters of the unit include Artem, whom we have known for many years. Artem was previously one of the representatives of the city of Kharkiv, but he was already involved in helping the units in Donbas before 2022. Since the full-fledged invasion in 2022, he has been working with the drone unit Hostri Kartuzi.
So far, the Hostri Kartuzi unit has received two fully equipped medical backpacks, 3 DJI Mavic 3T drones (drone with thermal imaging), several Ecoflow Delta electric units, 10 attack FPV drones, a quad bike, an Offroad Mitsubishi L200 pickup truck, Leatherman impact knives, and other drone equipment for approximately CZK 1,000,000.
