Tereza SouškováPolitika 2. 9. 2018 Work with child victims of sexual violence in the Czech Republic is the best in Europe. In 2016, the Ministry of the Interior supported a project to develop community policing, i.e. building relationships between citizens and the police, creating crime maps and fighting human trafficking. Helping children who have been victims of sexual violence has become a new separate topic. The Police of the Czech Republic as well as Czech NGOs, the Police Presidium, the Criminal Police Service and the Office of Criminal Investigation are involved. It was at the headquarters of the latter institution that we talked to officers from the Office of the Criminal Police and Investigation Service at the Police Presidium of the Czech Republic, Lieutenant Colonel Martina Petrovicova and Marketa Kalouskova, about their difficult and emotionally very demanding work, which they even travel abroad to lecture about. Petr Pojman from Team 4 Ukraine (T4U), an organisation that organises foreign trips of police officers, also joined the interview.
